Christmas
is a great time of year to enjoy your favorite shellfish
with family and friends. Kids love steamed clams with garlic
butter; breaded and pan-fried oysters are always a hit,
and are great served hot or pre-cooked and served cold with
seafood sauce. Heres a traditional recipe for oyster
stuffing that has been passed down for generations:

Stuffing (For a 12 lb bird) |
Ingredients

- 4
cups bread crumbs
- ½
cup melted butter
- ¾
cup finely diced celery
- ¾
cup finely diced onion
- 1
egg well-beaten
- Salt
and pepper to taste
- One
16 oz container
- oysters

Sauté
celery and onion lightly in butter.

Cut
each oyster into ½ inch pieces.

Mix
all ingredients thoroughly, stuff fowl and roast.
